Complete 75 hours of pre-licensing education
You must complete the 75-hour approved Pre-Licensing Course. Our course is completely online and works at your own pace if you’d like to sign up for that here.

Complete the course final exam
After you finish the course, you will need to take an online proctored exam and pass with a minimum score of 75%.

Choose a sponsoring brokerage
You must be associated with a brokerage registered in Pennsylvania to obtain a real estate license. Read on our blog here to find out how to pick the right brokerage for you. You will need a sponsoring broker to sign off on your application to the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission.

Complete the application form and background check
This application must be filled out and submitted to the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission for approval. For PA residents, the application form includes a consent to perform a criminal history record check from the state police. Click here for more information.

Pass the Pennsylvania Real Estate Licensing Exam
PSI Administers the in-person state licensing exam. There are 120 questions, covering the national and state-specific content. You will need a 75% or higher to pass this exam. Upon completion of this exam, you will get an application photo taken at the testing center.

Complete your license application
Complete the licensing process by submitting your licensing exam results to PREC along with the license fee of $97.00. Click here for more information.
